Terms of Service

picturetotext.app turns images into text, documents, spreadsheets and translated images. It is free during the beta and there is no paid tier today. We may add, change or retire tools, and change the daily limits, as the product develops. If paid plans ever arrive, they will come with their own terms before anyone is charged.

• You keep every right in the images you upload and in the results you download. We claim no ownership of either.
• You let us process an image only to produce the result you asked for. How long anything is kept is set out in the privacy policy.
• Only upload images you have the right to use. If a page contains other people's personal details, such as an invoice, a form or a letter, you are responsible for having a reason to process them.

Text is read and, for some tools, translated or answered by AI models. They are good, and they still make mistakes: a misread digit, a dropped table row, a wrong translation, a wrong answer. Every result is shown to you before you download it so you can check it.

• Check before you rely on it. Compare figures, names, dates and amounts with the original, especially for contracts, invoices, tax, medical or legal paperwork.
• Translations are not certified. For allergens, medicine, safety notices or official documents, confirm with someone who reads the original language.
• Quiz answers are not an official answer key, and the quiz solver is for revision — not for exams or assessments that forbid outside help.

Please don't use the site to:

• process content that is illegal, or that you have no right to copy or translate;
• get around the daily limits or the bot check, for example by scripting the site or rotating accounts or addresses;
• overload, probe or interfere with the service or the people using it;
• harass, impersonate or deceive anyone with the files you make here.

We may block access, or close an account, that is used this way.

Signing in is optional; it raises the daily limits and unlocks batches of up to 20 images. You sign in with Google or a one-time code sent to your email, and you are responsible for keeping that email account secure. You can stop using the site at any time; to have your account removed, ask us through the contact page.

Signing in with Google, exporting to Google Docs or Sheets and pasting into Notion hand your file to those services, under their own terms. We don't control what they do with it.

The site is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it running and its results accurate, but we can't promise that it will always be up, that a tool will keep working the way it does today, or that any result is free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on a result you didn't check, or from the site being unavailable.

When these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top moves. Questions go through the contact page.
